No.12 「Smells Like Teen Spirits」 ~Nirvana~

The day has finally come. The last blog post. It feels like it's been a while, but it was actually a short while. I thought hard about what is appropriate for the last time, and I decided my last plan. I'll make the blog about my most respected musicians. They're my the trigger for why I became interested in Western music, and playing the guitar. So this is a part of my life. It is Nirvana. They are very famous rock band all over the world. There is no person who doesn't know about this. They have become a legend among the rock band industry. A notable person is ''Kurt Cobain''. He is a great guitarist, and he is a wonderful, respectable person. Of course, I think so too. However, unfortunately he died suddenly. The cause of that accident is unknown, but there are two theories, suicide or murder . I will explain about this matter later. Anyway his life was a fierce life. Now, I'll introduce my most favorite song of theirs. That is "Smells Like Teen Spirits". This song made a greatest hit in their music life. Everyone knows this song in America. Critics recommended this song as the best single of the year. This song counts among the best of his work. It's strong message characteristics, it's simple and powerful riff won popularity as an anthem of youths. Please listen to the music.

No.11 「Ready Steady Go」~Zebrahead~

I'll introduce my favorite musician. Do you know Zebrahead? I think they are the strongest of the party rock bands. They make a lot of songs thatalways make it fun for the audience, and they've crazy. If you listen to their songs, I think maybe you will be favorite it. Meanwhile, they had their 20th anniversary this year. So then I'll get straight to the point about their history. They formed in 1996 in La Habra, California in the United States. Now there are five members and there are two vocalists. The most well-known member is Ali Tabatabae. He's in charge of rapping as one of the vocalists. In fact, He was not a member of Zebrahead at first. The guitarist of "409" Greg Bergdorf, the drummer, Ed Udhus (he is in the "409", too), The bass of the "3-Ply", Ben Osmundson. And Justin Mauriello as took charge of vocal and guitaristin "Once There". They always use a studio space for sp. Then each tried to play a session in there place. After that, they got along well, and they formed a new band "Zebrahead" to pursue profit music. Their band style was influenced by Fugazi (a famous rock band), and Descendents (a California punk rock band). After that they tried to include a Hip Hop style. Then they got a new member, Ali Tabatabae as joined the rapper vocalist. In 2004, the vocalist Justin left Zebrahead,  a new member joined Matty Lewis. By the way Justin is forming a new band. This is the hisrtory of Zebrahead. Today' I'll introduce, "Ready Steady Go". This song is a cover song by Zebrahead. It was originally made by "L'Arc~en~Ciel", a Japanese band. I was surpris. "Ready Steady Go" is a very famous song in Japan. It was originally used as the opening an animation. So I think maybe you might know it. Please try to listen to it.

This is playing the guitar quickly, and singing a song with high speed. I can't speak English fluently, so I'm having a hard time remember the lyrics. I could get it song by my mouth recently. Let's give a shot if you don't mind.

Zebrahead recently worked in collaboration with a Japanese rock band. As you can see from the photo, Man With A Mission is with Zebrahead. Do you know Man With A Mission? Man With A Mission are always wearing a wolf mask, and they never reveal their identity. So no one knows who they are. They're tried a collaboration and held big events. They have a lot in common. They thought to make something exciting like fighting. They made, a song made like a conflict  on a　boxing stage. The name is "Out Of Control.". The trigger of the composition is they have had a close friendship a long time, Man with A Mission tried make lyrics for the collaboration. It took only a week. The members of Zebrahead were suprised when they heard it. That song could be a magnum opus of their limited collaboration. "Out Of Control" is used the opening song in Madmax2. This is a very insane song, so please try to listen to it at once.

No.10「Dammit」 ～Blink182~

Hello. Today, I"ll introduce my favorite misician. This is it. "Blink182". They are
very famous bander as pop punk rock in America. The number of member is normally three. Blink182 is keeping their band life now, but as member of guitarist Tom delonge leave the members recently. That is a big deal, because he has been kept the Blink182 while 23 years. He's very famous in all over the world who has a technique as a characteristic hasky and high tone voice. So that's too bad about he left the band. Incidentally, the band name came from a variety of stories. It is uncorrect what for the band name. It's maybe from a hotel number, or maybe from him number when he called the court. I don't know the truth. Blink182 is an American rock band formed in Poway, California in 1992. The number of members are currently three, and their efforts and punk rock style are worthy of praise from people. Their greatest hits albam "Enema of America" was made by Producer Jerry Fin as him covered works Greenday, Rancid and so on. It was happened just like begin to the new generation of  punk rock. Today, I posted song is Dammit. That is the one of my favorite song. Especially, the promotional video is very funny, and interesting. This movie is worth watching.

This video is very funny. A couple coming to the movie theater, and same time, the guys came too. They're Blink182. The vocalist Mark Hoppus had a crush on the couple of the girl when he looked her. He tried separate the girl from good friend for he's gonna get to her. He just boldly disturb them. In the end, her boyfreand's gotta angry at Tom. Other guys are leave him and just looking to fighting them. The girlfriend was astounded by them reckless, and I don't know why, but she's going out with a stuff of the movie theater. Then they became speechless at that happened. I think this movie is the most interesting of ever watched videos. Other things, I like their song "First date", "Feeling this", " I miss you" and so on. Their merody is high tones and rapidly rhythm. You can in full swing, if you listen to their songs. In fact, Thanks to Mr, Kevin teached me, I could know them. Thank you.

No.9 「My Sharona」 ~The Knack~

Hello. Today, I'll introduce my favorite rock band musicians again. This is it. "The Knack". They are a rock band from a long time ago, and they won popularity for a while. Especially, "My Sharona" is very famous all over the world. You must have heard that song, because Japanese TV shows often use it for many things, such as commercials, opening of the TV show, and so on. By the way, do you know the variety show "Ametalk"? That program uses the song "My Sharona" as its theme song. I think if you always watch the TV show, so you can remember that. Also "Super8" uses it at the end. Anyway "My Sharona" is used in various places. The Foo Fighters Dave Grohl always says his most favorite song is "My Sharona". He is an ex-member of Nirvana, and they often sang "My Sharona" live at that time. So you should know that he really likes it .

The lylics are about a man who has a crush on one woman. The woman's name is Sharona. She seems to be a very beautiful girl. He was crazy about her when he saw her for the first time. The melody is a happy tune and has a good sense of rhythm. When I listened to it at first,  I felt so good immediately. How did you feel, when you read the lyrics? In fact, this is non-fiction. The vocalist named Doug Fieger had a girlfriend when he was 17. He encountered her in 1969. He had a crush on her at their first  meeting. He thought about her everyday, because he liked her too much. Then it suddenly flashed into his mind. He tried to write the lyrics about her. Another member of The Knack, Berton Averre, tried to make a song with Doug. The woman, Sharona Arperin, really exists. She is working as a real estate agent in Los Angels. This is awesome.

The Knack was called the next-generation Beatles by some people, but they didn't last long. They only won popularity with "My Sharona". This song is a worth a listen. Thank you.

Hello. I posting for the first time in ages. I couldn't deside my favorite rock band topic. So I thought it. I'll try to frankly introduce my favorite songs. Today, I'll introduce my favorite rock band. This is it.   

 

Do you know they? They are ''The Offspring''. Their genres are punk rock, pop punk, skate punk, alternative rock. Anyway, their base is punk style. Their paformance is very cool, and get excited. If you like punk rock, you must be pleased with they. Especially, ''All I want'' is very famous song in Japan. That atmosphere is very fast, and running. The promotional video is just keep running somewhere in town. That's realy great. It's worth a try watch it. But, today I'll talk about''Can'tRepeat''. I like it the best of all their song.

How did you like it? How did you feel, when you llistened it. In fact this lyric means that follows the trail of their mind and heart. 20 years form the formation, They realized it can't return to their debut time. They are no longer young. So They tried look back and trace their footsteps. Then they managed to that song. I mean it takes all sorts of people to make a world, but times flies. You only live once and short. I can sence their feelings just like that. Have you ever been thought about your life? If you'll become confuse for your life, I recommend this song. I've sterted job hunting, so I always listen to this song when I wavered in my judgment. I think so happy about I know their songs.

 

 

 

They formed in 1984,. First, their band name is ''Manic Subsidal'', the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Dexter Holland'', bassist "Greg K", lead guitarist "Kevin Noodles Wasserman" and drummer "Pete Parada".Why they name is "The Offspring"? The vocarist Dexter is a enthusiastic fan of the Social Distortion. The Social Distortion is punk rock band in California, and they are immensely popular among younger as hard punk rock at the time. Dexter will try to enter a concert hall as fan, but he can't go into a hall. I don't know why he doesn't enter, but that accident will be chance of form their punk rock band. Then they desided that name "Manic Subsidal", but they change the name immediately, because it was hard to remember for people. So next name is "The Offspring". This name desided ex-member "James Lilja". The name of origin is "silly boy",or an provocative means as the rock drops were kids. Japanese people stated it. 

When I listen to their songs at the first time, I've noticed surely that music style is different than other punk rock, GreenDay, Sex Pistols and so on. I hope you wanna try listen to those songs for compare other punk music if you have timWell, Happy trails to you, until we meet again. Thank you!

No.7 「Waiting」~Green Day~

Hello. I feel too tired to work recently. Stress leads to various life-style related diseases, so we should  relax to have a healthy life. Rhythmical music makes us feel better. Today, I'll introduce my favorite punk misician, "Green Day".

 

"Green Day" is a very famous punk rock band all over the world. Certainly, in Japan, they are famous, too. Their punk playing is an enchanting performance because of their melodious and catchy tunes. They mainly play up-tempo melodies, but they can play slow melodies too. At first I thought punk rock was nearly the same as heavy metal, but I misunderstood. I can feel so much better and happy when I was listen to their songs. I've been listening to their songs almost everyday since I discovered them. I think everyone should have the once-in-a-lifetime experience of listening to their songs.

This time, I'll post my favorite music to relaxed too. I hope you'll be relax if you listen to it.

This promotional video is very strange, because everyone is movement is very slow. Everything slow, but only "Green Day" is moving normally. They seem to be a enjoying themselves in the house. I don't know why other people are moving slowly and dancing. I would be ashamed of my idleness, but I want to know that someday.

"Green Day" has appeared on the TV program "Music Station" once. "Music Station" is a very famous Japanese TV program. The appearance of foreign musicians is a rare oppotunity, so I was surprised when they performed on "Music Station". "Green Day" is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 by vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. In 1991, Tre' Cool was added to "Green Day", and Jason White joined as a guitarist supporter in 1999, He's officially joined as a "Green Day" band member in 2012, so, the number of members became four. Their debut album,"Dookie" succeeded all over the world. "Dookie" has sold almost twenty million copies. Their name recognition grew up because of "Dookie". After that, they made a new album "21th Century Breakdown". It's been almost five years and it want to the top of the charts in 21 countries. "Green Day" has came to Japan for live concents. Their punk rock band life  still continues.


I know an interesting story about them. In 2013, they were scheduled to join the Voodoo Experience, but they canceled because of  rehabilitation for drug abuse. Then "Metallica" joined the band to help "Green Day". They did a great job while part of their members were in rehabilitation. "Metallica" encouraged "Green Day", and they showed respect for them. People shouted "Encore" and everyone askd for "Metallica" to sing  "American Idiot",
but "Metallica" declined that request. Then, they performed their favorite song "Battery". This song is very cool.

Hello. A recently released rental movie in Japan. It's "Terminator Genisys". It's been twelve years. So I'll introduce "Guns N' Roses". I admire "Guns N' Roses" wholeheartedly because of their performance made a profound impression. They're very famous in all over the world. Especially, their song "You Could Be Mine" is very well known in Japan, because it's used to theme song of "Terminator2". In promotional video insert a part of the movie scene and could seeing Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger. If you had watched the movie, you'll be sure to recollect that song. The promotional video is very cool. Absolutely, their song is very awesome, too.

How did you feel that? I think their playing the guitar is very well. As expected, they have played this difficult piece beautifully. So I think they're truly what one would expect of a professional band. I became want to watch "terminator2", if I listen to that song.

 They're an American hard rock band from Los Angels formed in 1985. The member is vocalist Axel Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Lzzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. However, they changed member, and they re-formed as a new member, consists of Rose, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Chris Pitman.
