The Bay City Rollers are a Scottish pop band. They formed the band in 1966. At first it was named "The Saxons". It was made up of  Leslie McKeown, Eric Faulkner, Stuart "Woody" Wood, Alan Longmuir, and Derek Longmuir. The Bey City Rollers were one of the driving forces in the Japanese music scene in 1974. The manager tried a member change to win popularity, and they finally succeeded in 1974. They got immensely popular among young people.
Especially, "Bye Bye Baby", "Saturday Night", "I Only Want to Be With You", and "Rock and Roll Love Letter" were great hits in Japan. They were called "another Beatles" by may people. Hiromi Gohhas made a cover song of their song "Bye Bye Love". Maybe I think the Bay City Rollers aren't known by young people, but I recommend them because the song brings out the nostalgia in me. I often heard them when I was a child. I have loved this song from a long time ago. It's great! I'm happy when I listen to it.
